Ashcombe Maze and gardens Wander through the gardens on the self-guided Garden Discovery Trail and learn why Ashcombe is such a magical place for people of all ages. One of Australia's largest hedge mazes. Open daily from 10am. Shoreham-Red Hill Road Shoreham. 

 

Moonlit Sanctuary The ambience of Moonlit Sanctuary, eco-accredited and set in natural bushland, places it in a class of its own. Visitors rave about their interactive encounters with our very special Aussie animals.

Red Hill Rail Trail A moderate trail that leads from opposite 'Two Bays Cottage' to the Merrick's General Store

Bushrangers Bay walk A moderate walk on an undulating bush track with elevated views. On the point of Bushrangers Bay is an impressive spire called Elephant Rock. Open Daily. Start at Cape Schanck and end on Boneo Road, Cape Schanck.

Cape Schanck Boardwalk A staircase takes you from the cliff-top lookout to the wild Bass Strait coastline. Cape Schanck Road, Cape Schanck Open daily

The Park at Point Nepean Until 1988, Point Nepean was one of Australia's most secret military defence outposts. Now a labyrinth of tunnels along with lookouts, turrets, forts, flora, fauna and ocean views. Point Nepean National Park, Portsea Open daily  Ph: 03 5984 4276

Cape Schanck Lighthouse and Museum The historic Cape Schanck Lighthouse is situated at the most southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula in the magnificent Mornington Peninsula National Park. Operating since 1859, you can explore the light tower and historic buildings on a guided tour. Open daily from 10:30am - 4pm. Cape Schanck Road, Cape Schanck

Coolart Wetlands and Homestead The red brick mansion and English gardens were built over 100 years ago. Today it is one of the most important bird sanctuaries in the nation. Open daily from 10am - 5pm Lord Somers Road, Somers Ph: 03 5931 4000

Heronswood A magnificent bluestone homestead built in 1871 on the slopes of Arthurs Seat. The cottage gardens, in 8 separate sections, feature annuals and perennials. Open 7 days from 9am – 5pm Latrobe Parade, Dromana

McCrae Homestead The drop slab construction homestead built in 1844 on the slopes of Arthurs Seat recalls the early farming days on the peninsula.  Open daily from noon – 4:30pm 11 Beverley Road, McCrae Ph: 03 5986 5688
